Readings of the Unemployed

In my attempt to read all of the books on the “1001 Books You Need to Read Before You Die” list (the 2003 edition), I figured my downtime is a good time to make a dent in this endeavor. Of course, not every book I read is on “the list”, but I do try to look there when I’m looking for a new book to read.

Below is a running list of books I’ve read since graduation, which may or may not have brief reviews in my entries.

Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood – Completed June 23

Regeneration by Pat Barker – Completed July 11

The Billionaire’s Vinegar by Benjamin Wallace – Completed July 22

The Glassblower of Murano by Marina Fiorato – Completed July 28

A Strange Commonplace by Gilbert Sorrentino – Completed August 1

The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera – Completed August 12

The Woman Who Wouldn’t by Gene Wilder – Completed August 13
